THE OPPORTUNITY

General Manager – Industry APAC & Member of APAC ExCo

Zühlke is seeking a commercially driven and market-facing leader to own the performance of its Industry business across APAC, with primary focus on Singapore and Hong Kong. This is a high-impact executive role for someone who can operate at the intersection of commercial ambition and delivery rigour — someone who understands that sustainable growth is built on client trust, pipeline discipline, and a team that performs.

Reporting directly to the APAC CEO and sitting on the APAC Executive Committee, the General Manager Industry APAC will be a genuine sparring partner at the leadership level — shaping commercial strategy, challenging where needed, and driving the region's go-to-market with conviction.

This is not a pure sales leadership role. Zühlke is looking for a leader with a balanced profile — someone who has operated across sales, delivery, or consulting, understands what it takes to win and deliver, and brings the commercial horsepower to accelerate growth in a market with real momentum.

What Success Looks Like

Within 12–18 months:

  • A strong, high-quality pipeline with reliable forecasting and improved conversion rates

  • Consistent achievement of revenue targets with growth across new and existing accounts

  • Increased win rates and larger, more strategic deal sizes

  • Trusted executive-level relationships with key clients across the region

  • Clear alignment between Sales, Delivery, and Practices — enabling profitable growth

  • A high-performing, accountable sales organisation with a strong execution culture

  • Strong linkage between sales and delivery, with high client satisfaction and profitable project execution

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Growth Leadership

  • Define and execute the APAC go-to-market and growth strategy across priority industries, translating Group frameworks into locally relevant actions

  • Lead market and client segmentation, identifying high-value accounts and growth opportunities

  • Drive systematic business development and account planning to grow key clients and expand Zühlke's regional footprint

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline, ensuring quality, velocity, and conversion to meet revenue targets

  • Ensure growth is aligned with Zühlke's delivery strengths and strategic capabilities

 

Client & Market Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, positioning Zühlke as a strategic partner in digital transformation, technology, and innovation

  • Represent Zühlke externally in client engagements, industry forums, and executive conversations

  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and client feedback to continuously refine the go-to-market approach

 

Pipeline & Execution Excellence

  • Own end-to-end pipeline management, including lead qualification, opportunity progression, and forecast accuracy

  • Drive disciplined sales governance through regular pipeline reviews and business performance forums

  • Contribute to and oversee strategic proposals, ensuring high-quality, competitive submissions

  • Establish clear KPIs across pipeline, conversion, revenue, and client impact

  • Ensure strong alignment between sold work and delivery capability, protecting margin and client outcomes

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop high-performing sales, business development, and account management teams

  • Build a culture of accountability, commercial focus, and execution excellence

  • Work in close partnership with the General Manager Practices APAC to win and deliver as one integrated organisation

  • Act as a trusted partner to the APAC CEO and ExCo, actively shaping commercial strategy

Ideal Profile

  • Extensive senior sales leadership experience in B2B technology, IT services, consulting, or professional services

  • Balanced profile across sales, delivery, and/or consulting — not a pure sales leader

  • Proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth and consistently meeting or exceeding targets

  • Strong expertise in pipeline management and translating opportunities into successfully delivered client outcomes

  • Deep understanding of relevant industry verticals — financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, or mobility

  • Strong commercial acumen including pricing, deal structuring, and proposal development

  • Experience operating in international, matrixed organisations

  • Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability

  • Credible and confident communicator with proven ability to engage at C-suite level

  • Collaborative leader who works seamlessly across Sales, Delivery, and Practices

  • Data-driven and disciplined in using metrics to drive performance and decisions
